.A new do!.

Okay, so I actually did this a little while ago, but I just barely got a chance to get them posted! Mya finally had her first haircut, yay! I know what you're thinking......'bout time, right? For some reason it's always hard for me to take the plunge and give them their first haircut, I don't know why, but it's a little sad for me. I try to hold on to that little bit of tiny baby for as long as I can, or in this case until it looks a little goofy. :) I guess I just thought it would keep growing into beautiful long hair, but it was finally time and we did it! Mya was definitely not too sure about the whole thing and in Eli's words she was saying "that's it! My've had it! ". Eli says "My" for "I" and for the life of me I just can't imagine who he would of got that phrase from....certainly not from me, ha ha

:) When it was all said and done, she looked super cute and I think she was okay with it....I'm not going to win any prizes for the cut, but at least she doesn't have a mullet anymore, right? I just love this little monkey.

.Firsts.

There's been a lot of firsts around here lately, first tooth, first time camping, first time at the fair and rodeo, first time on the tricycle, and so many more! Mya is growing up so fast and it seems be going faster the second time around than it did with Eli. Eli had been out riding his trike, and he's been trying to ride his bigger bike, so we were sitting outside watching him do his thing. I looked down and Mya had the biggest grin on her face just staring at his trike and so we ended up putting her on the seat to try it out. She was in heaven! This little girl is so funny, such a thrill-seeker! Nothing scares her which is quite opposite of me...must get it from her daddy :) As you can tell, she also needed her first hair cut in this pic..which we just accomplished the other day so I'll have to post that too! We love you Mya, and Eli, you are such an awesome big brother! :)

.Lately.

I love these! Mya is at such a fun age, 7 months and sitting so well on her own, smiling and clapping, and always so happy. I just had to share a recent pic...there's more on my photo blog if you want to see the rest. Off to go camping this weekend, should be fun!

.6 months. say what?

I love this little bug. She's so sweet and has me wrapped around her finger. I can't believe we've been so lucky to have her in our family for 6 months now, we love you Mya!

Melt. My. Heart.

.Work it.

I'm still workin' out the kinks and trying to find my perfect settings for the lighting in my "studio"....it's getting there but I have a little ways to go. Mya so graciously allowed me to take pics of her the other day so I could test it out. I'm in love! :) Hope you all had a great weekend, the weather here was fabulous!!

.4 Months.

I have lots more over on my photo blog but I just had to post some of Mya at 4 months. I can't believe how fast it has gone and so I had to get a few pics of her before it passed me by! I just love my little chubaluv, she's so super sweet!

Milestones.Yipee!

Can't you just see me doing the happy dance right now??? Guess who is potty trained as of a couple weeks ago? I am so excited that he did it, it's been a wild ride but considering we went through a move, a new baby, etc... I think he did a great job and I couldn't be more proud of him. Way to go little man!!! I'm sure you think I'm a little crazy for taking pics of him in "action" but I wanted to document this for all of our hard work that paid off. He'll be mortified in later years but I think it's so cute!

AS for this little munchkin...she's been talking to us in all kinds of sounds and squeals, and we call her our little sunshine. She always wakes up so happy and it makes my day to start out that way. I can't get enough of these cheeks and I just want to kiss them all day! She's almost rolling over...and she's at that stage of chunky that I love with the creases in the legs....I keep hoping time can just hold still for a minute while I take it all in. I just love days like this!! Being a mom is amazingly crazy-fun :)

{Munchkins}

These two hooligans always make me smile!! While editing these, I couldn't help but laugh because during most of the shots, I kept catching Eli running in the corner, totally naked and all you would see was Mya happily grinning while Eli's bare bum was a blur in the background. Ha!! He's such a crack up and he says the funniest things lately. Just recently he has been telling us there's an "elephant coming" and he runs to the couch to be safe. Then he says "save you mama" and hugs me tight to keep me safe. I love it!! I'm not quite sure where he came up with the elephant, but he's definitely been showing more of his imagination. Mya is just our little sunshine, smiling a lot lately and just being a little sweetheart. I had the chance to take some pics of a beautiful baby girl the other day and since I was already set up I couldnt' resist getting a few shots of my own cuties. {Me and Miss M}

I realized that I had no pictures of myself with miss "M" and I have to thank my mom for taking these for me, I love them! It took me awhile to get them edited so these are a little dated but I hope you enjoy them. I also had to post one of Eli and his sis, he is so loving with her and such a good big brother. He's always wanting to hold her and check on her and gives her endless kisses. He's such a sweet heart! Love, Jen

.Daddy's girl.

Holy Love!! I can't stand it! I love watching him with our kids, he is such a good dad and he is smitten with our new little Mya. Is it just me or is being a dad HOT? Wait, did I just say that out loud? ha ha Tan, you're the best, thanx for putting up with me not doing my hair, makeup or getting dressed in general, I'll make it up to you, I promise!! :)
