.Faces.

I loved this week's You Capture challenge of "Faces". Everyone has their own unique expressions and personality and so it makes it that much more interesting when trying to capture their true self. I am in love with this pic of a gorgeous senior I had the pleasure of meeting this week. Talk about a knockout, sheesh! And then of course, there's always the usual suspects at my house....Eli and Mya whom I just can't get enough of their silly, goofy faces! It's a circus around here, ha!

This is his true personality shining through, how can you not love that cheesy face? Such a goof!

Oh my, can it get any cuter?
Who me? Yes, you, Mya.....I just love that face.
Be sure to check out the rest of the entries here. :) Have a great weekend!

.Sweet.

I'm so loving this right now.....babies just have such a sweet innocence about them. Little Grace was so fun to take pictures of and what a difference it is between girls and boys, ha! My son would've been running circles around me by this point but she was so calm and did anything I wanted, yay for me!
Anyway, she just loved the sunflowers so I'm including these for this week's challenge over at
I should be Folding Laundry, have a great rest of the week! ~Jen

.Wonder.

I just had to share a little from a session I had this week, isn't so fun to watch how kids are always full of wonder and surprise at everyday things? I never tire of watching their expressions and how they are so happy, content, and carefree. It's almost magical-and truly one of my favorite things. This family was so cute and so fun to take pictures of and I just loved their interactions with each other, so sweet. I've been running a little behind on editing, etc. so it was perfect when this week's challenge was "photographer's choice", yay! So, this was perfect for me, hope you all had a lovely week and enjoy your weekend! The hubbs and I will be celebrating our 8th anniversary on the 21st-can you believe 8 YEARS? He's the cheese to my macaroni and I love him so much! :) Anyways.....I'm linking up to You Capture, go and check out the other entries, you'll be amazed! :)

.Signs.

Last weekend we went to the fair and I thought it was a perfect opportunity to grab some fun shots as well as do the You Capture Challenge which was "Signs". I love the fair and all that comes with it. To me it's a "sign" that Fall is coming and bringing cool, crisp air, all the fun fall fashion, holidays, comfort food, the leaves will be changing, and lots of baking! It's my favorite time of year and I get all excited when I can feel it in the air.
So, I saw a lot of "signs" this last weekend........signs for yummy treats, rides, signs of fall, signs that I need to exercise more :), and signs that my son is growing up entirely way too fast! He was totally into the rides, loving every second of it and when I saw him behind the wheel of a car in one of the rides, I couldn't believe just how fast the time has gone. Is this a sign that I'm getting old? Yipes!! :) Hope you enjoy your day and check out the other entries over at You Capture, it's tons of fun! :)

You Capture.Morning

This week's You Capture Challenge was "Morning", and at my house we're up pretty early usually. My hubbs leaves around 6ish, and it's go-go-go from that moment on. I sometimes get about a half an hour before the kids wake up so I try to get as many things done as I can! Make the bed, get ready, throw a load of laundry in, emails and editing and if I'm really lucky an occasional workout and shower. (if they sleep a little longer) Phew!! Then, Eli is usually the first to wake up, and he ALWAYS wants cereal. I try to tempt him with waffles, eggs and bacon, pancakes, anything I can think of but he is super low maintenance--it's cereal every time. Makes my job easy! :) He's so funny, he'll tell me all sorts of stories in the morning and will want to play cars. Mya will then wake up, with her happy, sunny smile.....she will want to play and cuddle and grins from ear to ear to see all of us. And that's the start to our morning, followed by cleaning, errands, the park, etc. etc. It's busy but always fun!
Be sure to check out the other entries at I should be folding laundry, it's so fun to see everyone's different point of view.

Here's the kids' rooms, these guys are the beautiful start to my day and the reason I LOVE my mornings!

.You capture-Kitchen.

This is my first time EVER doing a photo challenge but I've seen a lot of my blog friends doing it and I thought maybe I should jump in too and challenge myself on a daily basis. This week at I should be folding laundry, the them was "kitchen" in the You Capture challenge and so here's a glimpse into what went on here in my ca-razy kitchen this week :)

I am a recipe freak and I love to collect, save, try, and keep any recipe I get my hands on (if it's good of course).....this is my recipe folder.....umm....there's a reason why you don't see a section for desserts, I have a whole separate folder just for them!! They don't get lonely though, I'm always digging in it looking for something sweet to make, we all have a sweet tooth around here! :) Oh, and I'm also a recipe book hoarder as well....they're just so pretty!

For summer I love to make frozen grapes for a surprisingly yummy and refreshing snack when I'd rather be eating chocolate. It saves my rear end from getting even larger!
I LOVE grapefruit, YUM!
Here's a couple of activities we do in the kitchen all the time....I of course have to have my calendar, otherwise organization leads to complete chaos, and then we like to play the "number game"....Eli's getting really good at it! It helps pass the time while I'm making dinner so they don't maul me for food.
Sorry, for some reason I went on a vintage kick for all of these! I don't normally do that in my every day processing so I thought what the heck, have some fun!
And of course, I always have a hungry face with their hungry eyes watching my every move...saying "hurry up mom, I'm starving! "
Then, if Im really lucky I actually get to eat too! Yay!! After everything is made, children are getting fed and everyone is happy, I get to eat and my kitchen wouldn't be mine if it didn't have my trusty lemon vinagerette that I love to eat on my salads. I owe my insanely fit and gorgeous to-die-for mommy bod to this amazing stuff....and then I get to wash the dishes, yay for me!
