Elk hunt

Needless to say, Taner has been pretty excited about his last hunting trip with his brother and dad. They all got an elk this time and even though they worked their buns off, it all paid off in the end. I'm so glad they got some pictures and Eli has been talking about elk ever since. There's been talk of mounting and hanging the antlers (is that what you call elk horns?) but I'm standing my ground, I just can't picture them in my decor, yikes! We'll save that for the "manly" game room, I hope, LOL! Here's Tan's pics of their trip, isn't he so ruggedly, manly-man-hunterliciously handsome? I'm diggin' the hat fo' sho! :)

.Powertools and Playsets.

We now have a playset in our yard!! I've been waiting a long time to have a big enough yard that we could actually have one for Eli and I think he's pretty happy! I had no idea just how much it took to put together one of these things and Taner earned major brownie points on this one, hee hee!! Love ya Tan! A big thanks goes out to Taner's dad, grandparents and to Toni (Eli's new best friend) for all their help... Tan and I would've still been putting it together and probably not speaking to one another :) Eli was a big help too, he would hold the measuring tape for us, use the electric drill (without any bits of course) and help read the HUGE book of directions. Here's to a job well done guys, it looks great and Eli loves his new playset! Thanks so much:)

My Easter Bunny

This year we had so much fun watching Eli hunt for eggs! I'm not sure if he has the hang of it just yet, but by the end of the day he had a better idea of what to do. We went to the city easter egg hunt and he was so excited to see the eggs ( he calls them balls) that once the race started he dropped his basket as fast as he could so he could grab and egg in each hand and then just walk around saying " ball, ball" to all the other little kids. I had to jump in there to give him his basket but by then all the eggs were gone!!  It was so cute to watch all the little ones look so confused at why the adults were yelling, "run, run!!" One thing is for sure though....Eli definately loved the treats inside! We have to say a big thank you to his grandmas and grandpas for the fun easter packages, he was spoiled rotton!

Beautiful Laguna Beach

Oh Laguna Beach!! I have to say a big thank you to Colin and Vicki for such a wonderful suggestion for a beach day! If you have never been by the Montage Resort in Laguna beach, I definately recommend it. The cliffs were amazing and there were tidal pools with all sorts of fun shells, etc. for the kids to play in. So beautiful.....we'll definately be going back!

Again I have to apologize for the huge amount of photos I post, I love them all and can't choose! Little "E" loved the water and sand so much that by the time we were done there was sand in every nook and cranny!

He was so proud of his shell he found, I was surprised he left it there!

By the end of the day the sunset was so amazing! I couldn't help but snap way too many shots of it.

Can you see the face in the side of the cliff?
Sigh........I miss you Laguna Beach! I'll be back, don't worry!
